Installation Notes

On some 90-93(and 94 conv) 900 2.1L models, the factory catalytic converter is slightly longer(1 1/2"- 3"). However, the length of the car bodies, and the surrounding exhaust pieces are all identical, therefore the difference in length must be made up for by sliding the intermediate pipe farther out of the front muffler. We believe that Saab was forced to use a handful of non-US spec cat converters due to a shortfall, and simply made up the length difference by pushing the intermediate pipe farther into the front muffler. ***This convertor should not be used on vehicles registered in California.***
