After a successful first round at Daytona International Speedway in January, the eEuroparts.com Racing team presented by ROWE Motor Oil is packing up the trailer and embarking for Sebring, Florida. This will be the team’s first trek to the infamous 3.74 mile Sebring International Raceway, feeling plenty of opportunity to improve on their first performance of the season.
The 4 hour season opener saw the team garner a 4th place start and finish. Although content with the result in the opening race of the season, they are excited to get out and chase a podium finish next month. The #10 Audi was on the move at the start but an early pit lane penalty proved to be difficult to recover from. Undeterred by the kinks of a brand new operation, the team believes that there are plenty of positive takeaways from the first event, and see potential for the 10 race season.
“Considering the new challenges presented to us at Daytona, I feel like we handled everything pretty well. To come out of the first race of the season with the car in good shape and the drivers happy with the progress meant a lot for our team confidence.” said Matt Moran, Team manager and Strategist for eEuroparts.com Racing. “Lee and Kieron were competitive which was the main goal for Daytona, the next step is heading to Sebring and making it to the finish. The nature of Sebring International Raceway could make the 2 hour race just as hard on the car as a 4 hour race elsewhere, so finishing without trouble would be a meaningful step towards the podium.”
To view the 2 hour Sebring 120 you can head to IMSA.tv on Friday, March 16 at 2:35 p.m. or watch the replay on Fox Sports 1 Sunday, March 25th at 10:30 a.m. The #10 eEuroparts.com Racing Audi will once again be piloted by Kieron O’Rourke and Lee Carpentier. A solid finish in Sebring could help the team carry some momentum on the long break until the next event at Mid-Ohio in May.
The #10 Audi RS 3 LMS has been able to have this successful start thanks to the support of our sponsors eEuroparts.com and ROWE Motor Oil. They would also like to acknowledge the outstanding support from Audi Sport and Audi Genuine Parts, and of course the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge for the outstanding events.
