Looking Back On A Year Of eEuro Car Shows – 2017 In Rearview

eeuro 2017 show season

We made it to the end of show season, and 2017 was a huge year.  We put thousands of miles on a number of vehicles in order to get out among the community, and in the end it was totally worth it.  We love seeing what our customers have been up to, and what you think of us if you’ve shopped with us.  As a side note, if you have a moment to fill out this survey to tell us how you think of us that way, you can be entered to win $500 in site credit, or $300 in cash. Anyway, we have some great photos and some videos to check out from our time on the road, so get scrolling to see what 2017 meant for the show team at eEuroparts.com, listed in chronological order!

The 2017 New England Dustoff – Thompson CT

April 30 – Meant to “Dust Off” your VW or Audi show car after a winter of careful storage, the Dustoff 2017 is meant to be the groan and stretch after a long hibernation, and it’s HUGE!  Thousands of devote attendees filled their cooling systems put air in their tires, and put another zip tie on their distributor caps (I kid) and made the hike out to Thompson Speedway this April 29th, and we were there selling eEuroFest packages, giving away site credits, and soaking up the sun rays for the first time in all the Dustoffs we’ve attended.  …continue reading

Saabs @ Carlisle 2017 – Carlisle, PA

May 19-21 – This is now the 4th year in a row we’ve been to the Carlisle Import and Performance Nationals in one format or another, and easily we have to say one of the best from our own perspective. Formerly known as the Carlisle Import and Kit nationals, we’ve noticed the VW based Manx buggies will show up in force regardless of the name.  They also seem to be mostly composed of early risers, judging by how those air-cooled engines all fire up at the crack of dawn every year.  I digress, camping out at Carlisle always adds to the whimsy of the show.  …continue reading

eEuroFest 2017 – Salisbury, CT

June 9-10 – This was the big one for us in 2017, eEuroFest was our opportunity to take everything we’ve learned and build our own experience, based on what we think an enthusiast/performance driver show should be.  With over 1500 people attending, and massively good weather, we are ecstatic at how eEuroFest 2017 went.  Friday started out early with VIP’s lining up near the Chalet, where they would enjoy catered food and air conditioning all weekend.  There they met up with our partners at The Motorsport Experience for an exclusive day of autocross using both their own cars, and the supplied BMW M3’s to tear up the course.  Instantly, once our VIP’s hit the track we knew our vision was coming together. …continue reading

Bimmerfest 2017 – Englishtown, NJ

July 29-30 – When we discuss the finer things, a well crafted German car should always make it into the conversation.  Of course, there are a few makes to choose from, but not many are more recognizable than a BMW.  Having a BMW is like having a nice watch.  It doesn’t stand out like a Flavor Flav clock on a gold chain, and it doesn’t force attention like cruising through town in a straight piped Lamborghini.  As with any reserved culture, however, there is a tendency to bubble under the pressure in strange ways (have you ever been to Japan by chance?).   This is my impression of Bimmerfest 2017, the car show that refuses to sit quietly and occasionally compliment “My, that’s a nice suit”.  …continue reading

Wolfsgart 2017 – Burlington, VT

August 3-6 – Winding out of the green low lying mountains of Northern Vermont, the Winooski river has always played a vital role in fueling the nearby towns with mill power.  Its rocky banks, steeped in history, provide a subtle backdrop to the town of Winooski.  Founded before America by Ira Allen, brother of famous colonialist Ethan Allen, it’s obvious that the people in this town embrace their past. Yet, there’s a future here too.  The town is lined with classy glass and metal apartment buildings, speckled in with converted mills, hip pubs, and most notably here, a variety of beautiful German cars that have been extensively customized to each individual owner’s personal taste.  This was Wolfsgart 2017, where the attendees share the same respect for the classic past, while still always looking for the next new thing. …continue reading

Swedish Car Day – Brookline, MA

August 27 – It’s great to get out into the community to see our customers and their project.  It’s better when you are in the shadow of the castle-like Larz Anderson Museum, giving the atmosphere a reverence that is seldom as palpable.  Swedish Car Day is a special show there in Brookline, Massachusetts, calling for a type of crowd that is different than what we are used to.  Chrome bumpers and side-draft Weber carbs replace the sea of shaved engine bay, air-ride equipped late models.  While Swedish Car Day 2017 of course was primarily about the cars, but for us, it is also about the community.  We get to talk and hang out with all our friends that we’ve made over the years at these events.  …continue reading

eEuroparts Fall Finale 2017 – Windsor, CT

September 24 – This last Sunday we had the eEuroparts Fall Finale, a small show with a friendly atmosphere here at eEuroparts in Windsor Connecticut.  We did this because it was the first year in awhile we didn’t actually have an event on our own soil, so we had to make sure we got something in before the season closed.  Technically, the season close for many of our show going customers is staggered, (scroll down), and Dubs in the Trees for the most devote. For the Fall Finale, we bought a big pile of donuts, coffee, and bagels, put out the new Nokian winter tires, set up a little music for ambiance, and watch the morning unfold.  …continue reading

Staggered 2017 – Springfield, MA

October 8 – For the third year in a row, the eEuroparts.com crew packed up and headed to what we can consider our home show.  Well, it’s closest anyway, located inside the Big E Fairgrounds just outside of Springfield Massachusetts, and it brings out all the local car guys for most people’s last show of the season.  We go to a lot of shows, every one is a little different but has one specialization. eEuroFest caters to the performance and enthusiast driving aspect by offering track events in addition to the show.  Wolfsgart focuses on the joy of driving by positioning itself up in a beautiful Vermont setting and scheduling cruises outside the actual show.  Saabs@Carlisle….well…that one is a bit self-explanatory.

If we have one takeaway from Staggered its that this is an all-inclusive show focusing on fresh and modern trends, the new new.  Open to all makes, it’s very cool to see the mixes of car culture from the vintage dub scene to Bosozoku style rising suns.  This is the first time we actually did any filming here, although if you check out our Youtube channel you’ll see we’ve filmed plenty of others.  The Staggered 2017 video and photo gallery is live, so you can check out for yourself.  Included is clips from the show, BMX showcase, and drifting exhibition. …continue reading
