Every year in the York Fairgrounds in York Pennsylvania, a huge Volkswagen Audi Group themed show known as VAG Fair goes on.  This year, an east coast venue has been added for the spring, and it’s this weekend!  As it turns out, the VW scene is all about the shows.  We’ve already been to a few, and because of the amazing enthusiasm and atmosphere, we are going to pick up the pace and try to make it out to as many as possible.

This weekend (June 13 and 14), the spring chapter of the VAG Fair is going to happen over two days in the Thomas Point Beach campground, and we’re going to make our way up to Brunswick, Maine to see some of the northerner’s spin on the VDub Culture.  Frankly, they had us at BBQ, as they will be having a big BBQ and lobster party that’s free to anyone with a VW or Audi Key, sponsored by Save the Euros on Saturday evening.  We’re wondering if they accept Skoda keys, since they are still technically part of the group.  Anyway.

The campground features a wooded camping area and a beach, which will all be totally packed with everything from sparking Audi S’s, to rustic patina’d MK1’s.  We better see some surfboards or we will be disappointed.  Saturday night is sure to be a party for the ages.

Schedule:

Saturday: 9 a.m; Come lay on the beach and enjoy the sun. Park your cars on the show field.

Saturday Evening: Cruise the coast. Followed by a BBQ with Lobsters. Free to those with Vag specific keys. The food is first come first serve and fully sponsored by Save the Euros.

Sunday: 9 a.m. gates open. Judging starts at noon.

We will be there giving away our usual $15 site credits, and soaking up some of the sun on the beach for sure.  Stop by the tent, we will have Tom Whitaker’s super clean Passat reppin’ for us, so keep an eye out for these chunky Borbet’s and we hope to see you there!
