Roasting At Bimmerfest East 2015 And Loving It

Bimmerfest East with eEuroparts.com

The date is August 15th, 2015. The location is Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ.  In case you were wondering, the temperature is a balmy 95 degrees Fahrenheit! Thousands of BMW’s embarked  for this one day event and it was going to be a swelter.

We arrived right around 7am to get our booth set up, and cars started to come in shortly after. A few of us walked the tarmac to greet the attendees and hand out free $15 site credits. Everyone was excited to get the day started.  Heat waves rolled off the blacktop early in the morning, as the cars began to roll in.

Having our booth located at the front of the entrance gave us great exposure and it even allowed us to see all of the cars as they came in. As with most events you are sure to see a handful of other models present too. This included Mercedes, Ferrari, and a couple of Nissan GTR’s, a Porsche 911, and the ultra-exclusive McLaren P1.  Even though this was a BMW event, the P1 probably had the most photos taken of it.

Walking the show line there was no shortage of both modified late models and restored classics, this truly was a show for ALL. One of the very well kept examples of the quintessential classic BMW was this pristine 2002.

Crowds gathered around for some of the more spectacular builds. The great thing about this is that show cars and daily drivers are all welcome to enter. Only a few of the drag cars and autocross cars came in on a trailer while everyone else drove in. These cars are meant to be driven, after all they are the Ultimate Driving Machine.

As the day moved on, the drag racing and autocross competitions came to an end and awards were given out for the different categories in ‘Battle of the Bimmers’. The burnout contest was the last event for the day, leaving plenty of melty black scorch marks on the pavement that will be there for a long time.

It was a great experience to meet some of our existing customers and build new relationships with those just hearing about us. From one BMW owner to another, if there is only one event you can make it to, this should be it. Bimmerfest East is growing and growing fast, which is why it was moved to a bigger location this year (and even then, the show approached capacity). We hope to see everyone out again next year. Thank you to everyone that supported the event and eEuroparts.com!  Click below to see the photo gallery, and catch a glimpse of some of the best that the show had to offer.
