Jurid is a European brand that has commanded many overseas OE applications for years, with companies such as BMW, Volvo, and Mercedes choosing Jurid for as OE for many of their vehicles.
As a trusted OE, we are happy to have them onboard to join our large selection of other Original Equipment manufactures, and add several new OES part numbers to the catalog. Even the brake pad sets that aren’t specifically OES are guaranteed to be top notch quality for both stopping friction and longevity.
Born under the parent company Honeywell (you may have heard of this German manufacturing and engineering powerhouse), the price point of these is on par with the Bosch Quietcast and some Akebono, which is another quality OE manufacturer. Honeywell’s friction division is also well known for industrial brakes for things like trains. They quite literally could stop a locomotive. If the same company that is in charge of stopping a bullet train is making brakes for cars, well, I can’t think of a better example of quality engineering than that.
Jurid brake pads feature a non-asbestos organic compound designed for high initial bite and high friction. This provides the safety and comfort you are accustomed to when looking for replacement brakes for your late model Mercedes-Benz, VW, Audi, BMW, and even Porsche. However, if you are looking for a track oriented pad, or something to do repeated high speed canyon runs in (within the speed limit, of course), then you may want to think about checking out some of the EBC sport pads, such as Redstuff, Yellowstuff, and Bluestuff.
