On Wednesday, the eEuroparts.com Racing team participated in the IMSA sanctioned Balance of Performance testing for the upcoming 2018 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season at Daytona International Speedway. This event will prove important in determining the starting weights, horsepower, and potentially other changes for the upcoming racing season to create competitiveness across entries from the difference manufacturers. We are excited to get to know our Audi TCR contender with it’s new TCR class rule changes. The eEuroparts.com team, based on our experience in 2017, and with professional driver and instructor Lee Carpentier at the wheel, was in the mix right out the gate in the TCR and GTS practice session on Wednesday. The session featured 7 total TCR entries that will be fairly representative of the field that will take the track for the upcoming Continental race at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January. The entries consisted of
We have a huge announcement! eEuroparts.com is partnering with Indian Summer Racing to acquire an Audi RS 3 LMS USA Clubsport. Together we’re establishing LMS Performance Group, LLC to own and operate the Audi, which will compete in the remainder of the Touring Car season in Pirelli World Challenge®. The Indian Summer Racing team sponsored by eEuroparts.com is ending their TCB season early to compete in the TC class for the remaining three races of the season. The decision to forgo the remainder of the TCB season did not come lightly as driver Travis Washay is currently fourth in points, with two podium finishes this year, including a win at Virginia International Speedway. However, we both concluded that the opportunity the Audi RS 3 LMS program presented was too good to pass up. The decision to participate in the Audi Sport customer racing program to develop the RS 3 LMS here in the U.S. is
There’s a running gag with the inner New England dub scene that it will ALWAYS rain for the Dustoff. Meant to “Dust Off” your VW or Audi show car after a winter of careful storage, the Dustoff 2017 is meant to be the groan and stretch after a long hibernation, and it’s HUGE! Thousands of devote attendees filled their cooling systems put air in their tires, and put another zip tie on their distributor caps (I kid) and made the hike out to Thompson Speedway this April 29th, and we were there selling eEuroFest packages, giving away site credits, and soaking up the sun rays for the first time in all the Dustoffs we’ve attended. We are exited to have Blake and Tom as the car show managers for OUR show at Lime Rock (we are calling in the bigtime experience), and this year the show ran without a hitch.
eEuroparts is very excited to announce our partnership with Indian Summer Racing and sponsorship of Travis Washay and his Mini Cooper (he’ll need some Mini Cooper parts) for the 2017 season of the Pirelli World Challenge® Championships. Travis drives the Mini Cooper in the Touring Car B (TCB) class, a small stock-style class where cars use manufacturer-set specifications. The Pirelli World Challenge® Championships The Pirelli World Challenge® Championships provide teams, manufacturers and aftermarket suppliers a competitive production-based race series in which to prove their products. The series dates back to 1972, when the Sports Car Club of America formed a new club racing class for stock street cars. It wasn’t until 2012 that the Pirelli World Challenge® introduced the Touring Car B spec class, which has gone on to feature up and coming drivers breaking into the professional ranks and driving cars like the Honda FIT, Fiat 500, Mazda 2, Chevy Sonic, and the
This weekend, April 21-23, we are debuting the brand new eEuro 9-3 at Watkins Glen International at our third season opener for American Endurance Racing (AER) (click for schedule). We’re entering the third year of our partnership with AER as the official parts sponsor. As car and racing enthusiasts, we’re dedicated to supporting AER, their staff and all of our fellow racers, near and far. As some of you have been following, we’ve been building a Saab 9-3 race car to be competitive as a class 3 race car at AER. To recap the Saab 9-3 parts we upgraded, our new car is brandishing a tuned 4cyl turbo B207 engine using Wiseco forged pistons and Molnar forged H-Beam connecting rods. The engine is connected to a huge Do88 intercooler cooling system on one side, and a fat Krona 3in Downpipe exhaust system on the other, this eEuro 9-3 is lean and mean, with
