A Constant Velocity Joint, or CV joint, allows a drive shaft to transmit power through two angled shafts. It makes sure that an equal amount of power can be dedicated to the wheels no matter the angle, allowing the vehicle to maneuver at speed, even when turning. CV Joints are protected by a rubber boot to keep grit, dirt, and any number of contaminants out. Without this protective boot, the joint would quickly wear out. Over time, CV Joint boots can crack and split, which can be potentially damaging to the joint, and your wallet. A new CV Joint can cost upwards of $100, not to mention labor charges if you take your vehicle to a mechanic. To avoid costly parts and repairs, consider an eEuroparts.com CV Joint Boot Kit by CRP. This particular kit costs only $14.07 and can save you hundreds of dollars and multiple hours of your valuable time.
