I thought this post would never come! It’s taken so much time, effort, and money to finally make this dream a reality and I’m so happy I’ve finally accomplished this goal of mine. My first obstacle was to rent a truck and trailer as I don’t have one currently. After weighing lots of options, I ended up going with my last resort, renting both the truck and trailer from UHaul. This was going to be expensive… When I picked up my UHaul truck, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I would be driving a new GMC truck with ~2500 miles on it, not bad! This would turn out to be a great tow vehicle. I was somewhat nervous driving it around with the trailer because you have to be very cognizant of the length of it all. This is the part that gets left out of most racing recaps,
SCCA’s second Rally Sprint took place on September 12th at the Team O’Neil rally facility. The Rally Sprint 2 consisted of three stages, between 2-3 miles long, that we ran over the course of the day to total almost 19 miles of technical stages. Overall it was a great event for us, we were quick right out of the gate, only had one mechanical failure we were able to address and took 1st in 2WD Light and 3rd overall for 2WD. However, the margin by which we won by was very tight, less than a tenth of a second. This was because of the mechanical failure earlier in the day which resulted in a bogey time for stage 4 (average time + 1min). The mechanical failure aside, the rally almost ended for us on the first stage due to bad note placement on my part from recc’y. Ben and I

Flat Out and Fearless is the only way around Summit Point. With one of the longest front straights on the east coast, and a variety of wide open, high speed increasing radius corners, your ability to navigate the only tight part of the course, a technical carousel, will determine your lap pace weather you like it or not. However, before our fastest driver and old eEuro Motorsports front man Mike White could set the pace in B class, our team had to overcome some mechanical obstacles. On Friday during test and qualification our passenger side axle decided to leave its inner driver home nearly destroying the inner driver and obliterating our axle tripod bearings. We came prepared with another axle only to have the violence re-emerge on the warm up lap of the race on Saturday. Clearly there was something wrong elsewhere, but we were just left scratching our heads.
I love the looks of my Saab 9-5, its what drew me to the car. As soon as I saw pictures of it I knew I wanted it. Despite how good looking I think the car is I always thought the rear was a little bit plain. This year while vacationing in Maine, home to more Saabs than I’ve seen anywhere else, I saw a 9-5 that had the factory trunk mounted spoiler on it and I thought it complimented the car very well. I wanted to see if I get my hands on that same spoiler to add to my car, luckily eEuroparts.com carries this exact spoiler! I placed the order then set about gathering my supplies. They have a ton of other paintable spoilers to, which this DIY will also apply to. Check them out here: http://www.eeuroparts.com/Parts/PartResult.php?search=saab+spoiler THE TOOLS NEEDED Paint The trunk mounted spoiler comes in primer and
