There’s a running gag with the inner New England dub scene that it will ALWAYS rain for the Dustoff. Meant to “Dust Off” your VW or Audi show car after a winter of careful storage, the Dustoff 2017 is meant to be the groan and stretch after a long hibernation, and it’s HUGE! Thousands of devote attendees filled their cooling systems put air in their tires, and put another zip tie on their distributor caps (I kid) and made the hike out to Thompson Speedway this April 29th, and we were there selling eEuroFest packages, giving away site credits, and soaking up the sun rays for the first time in all the Dustoffs we’ve attended. We are exited to have Blake and Tom as the car show managers for OUR show at Lime Rock (we are calling in the bigtime experience), and this year the show ran without a hitch.
If you are looking for some light at the end of the cold rainy tunnel known as April, look no further than Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park for the New England Dustoff. This annual event is geared towards the VW/Audi community with show classes for each generation. However, all makes and models are welcome in the exhibition and spectator parking lot. It is a family-friendly event, and the organizers work hard to retain a low key, enjoyable day for car enthusiasts of all ages. Kids 12 and under are even given free admission. If you are looking to check out some of the top names in the industry, make sure to stop by the Paddock area where are all the vendors will be set up. As an Executive Sponsor for the event, eEuroparts will be back to meet and greet everyone, and hand out credits to our website. If you are
Rub a Dub Dub is an aging bit of VW scene slang that earned a double meaning at the 2015 New England Dustoff, when showers washed across the show for nearly the entire day. We had been watching the forecast for about a week prior, and prepared for the worst when it came to the electronics we brought. Even though they were predicting 100% chance of rain, we knew that wouldn’t keep us from hitting up this huge VW themed car show. This year organizers moved to a larger venue than previously set up, at Thompson Speedway in beautiful Thompson Connecticut. When the show started, what we feared seemed to be true. The line that we had seen at previous shows wasn’t there, and when 9:30 came by, turnout looked like it would be thin. After the first string of dark clouds went by, shedding the first significant rainfall, all
A little while ago in April, we went to a show called ‘Dubs on Defrost‘, which was a massive enthusiast car show at Lime Rock Park in rural, CT. We were amazed at the turnout, the entire racetrack was stacked with customized Volkswagens showing off how low they could go. The weather was perfect, and we gave away a bunch of $15 account credits. It was a blast, so we are supremely excited to be doing it again. Luckily, we will still be at a race track (of course where we feel most comfortable), but this one will be on the other side of the state, in Thompson CT. eEuroparts.com is the Executive Sponsor of New England Dustoff! This is going to be the next in a series of diehard car culture shows that we will be going to, this one featuring mostly VW’s and Audi’s. The show has
Every year for the last 9 years, Ocean State Dubs put’s on New England’s Largest VW/Audi show, and new for 2015 will be eEuroparts.com as executive sponsor! We’re exited to roll out and set up at Thompson Motor Speedway on May 31, 2015 to enjoy an entire facility full of amazing customs, limited production rarities (expect to see at least one harlequin MKIII to show up), and even a few exotics. We will have Baker’s Dozen Racing with us at our booth to show off a legit VDub rally car, very cool. The show will include judged events and prizes so if you have a show car that fits the bill, we’ll see you there! Come out on May 31st of this year to Thompson Motor Speedway to get the show season started with New England Dustoff 2015!
